Critical phenomena of static charged AdS black holes in conformal gravity
Wei Xu, Liu Zhao

TL;DR
This paper investigates the thermodynamic critical phenomena of static charged AdS black holes within conformal gravity, revealing unique phase transition behaviors and critical points that differ from conventional black hole thermodynamics.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of the $P-V$ criticality and phase transitions of charged AdS black holes in conformal gravity, highlighting novel features such as zeroth order phase transitions.
Findings
Existence of a single critical point with specific $T_c$ and $P_c$
Presence of zeroth order phase transitions at certain conditions
Preference for large pressure or high temperature states
Abstract
The extended thermodynamics of static charged AdS black holes in conformal gravity is analyzed. The criticality of these black holes has some unusual features. There exists a single critical point with critical temperature and critical pressure . At fixed (or at fixed ), there are two zeroth order phase transition points but no first order phase transition points. The systems favors large pressure states at constant , or high temperature states at constant .
