TL;DR
This paper explores whether gravity can be interpreted as an entropic force, concluding that under specific conditions like constant temperature and zero chemical potential, gravity aligns with entropic force concepts.
Contribution
It demonstrates that gravity can be viewed as an entropic force only in systems with constant temperature and zero chemical potential, clarifying the conditions for this interpretation.
Findings
Gravity acts as an entropic force under specific thermodynamic conditions.
The Newtonian approximation is discussed in the context of entropic gravity.
Thermal quantities can induce gravitational effects when certain conditions are met.
Abstract
If we assume that the source of thermodynamic system, and , are also the source of gravity, thermal quantities, such as entropy, temperature, and chemical potential, can induce effects of gravity, or gravity can induce thermal effects. We find only for systems with constant temperature and zero chemical potential, gravity can be seen as an entropic force. The case for Newtonian approximation is discussed.
