Measuring the Spin and Parity of a Resonance in the Diphoton Decay Channel
Wilco J. den Dunnen

TL;DR
This paper introduces a novel method to determine the spin and parity of a resonance decaying into two photons, using transverse momentum and Collins-Soper angle distributions, enhancing the analysis of particle properties.
Contribution
The paper presents a new approach to measure spin and parity of resonances in diphoton decay channels, capable of distinguishing spin-2 scenarios and complementing existing methods.
Findings
Effective in identifying resonance spin and parity.
Can differentiate between minimal and non-minimal spin-2 couplings.
Works alongside standard polar angle analysis.
Abstract
We present a way to determine the spin and parity of a resonance produced through gluon fusion with a decay to a pair based on the transverse momentum and Collins-Soper distribution. This method also allows one to distinguish between various non-minimal coupling spin-2 scenarios and can be used in parallel to the `standard' method based on the polar angle .
