Steady Euler flows and the Faddeev-Skyrme model with mass term
Radu Slobodeanu

TL;DR
This paper reveals a duality between steady incompressible Euler flows and solutions to the Faddeev-Skyrme sigma model with a mass term, providing new insights and explicit examples in the field.
Contribution
It establishes a novel duality linking fluid dynamics and field theory models, with applications and explicit solutions demonstrating this connection.
Findings
Identified a duality between Euler flows and Faddeev-Skyrme solutions
Provided explicit examples illustrating the duality
Applied the duality to derive new insights in both fields
Abstract
We point out a duality between steady incompressible Euler flows and solutions of the strongly coupled Faddeev-Skyrme sigma model with potential (mass) term. We supplement this result with various applications and several explicit examples.
