TL;DR
This paper reports measurements of deep inelastic scattering cross sections at HERA using the ZEUS detector, covering various energies and kinematic ranges, and extracts proton structure functions F2 and FL.
Contribution
First measurements of reduced cross sections at multiple energies with ZEUS, enabling detailed extraction of proton structure functions in specified kinematic regions.
Findings
Cross sections measured at three energies (318, 251, 225 GeV)
Proton structure functions F2 and FL extracted from data
Data covers y from 0.13 to 0.75 and Q^2 from 5 to 110 GeV^2
Abstract
The reduced cross sections for deep inelastic scattering have been measured with the ZEUS detector at HERA at three different centre-of-mass energies, , and GeV. The cross sections, measured double differentially in Bjorken and the virtuality, , were obtained in the region , where denotes the inelasticity and GeV. The proton structure functions and were extracted from the measured cross sections.
