A Novel Mechanism for $J/\psi$ Disintegration in Relativistic Heavy Ion Collisions
Abhishek Atreya, Partha Bagchi, Ajit M. Srivastava

TL;DR
This paper explores how $J/eta$ particles disintegrate in quark-gluon plasma due to $Z(3)$ domain walls, which create localized color electric fields that alter and excite the particles.
Contribution
It introduces a novel mechanism involving $Z(3)$ domain walls causing $J/eta$ disintegration in QGP, a new perspective in heavy ion collision studies.
Findings
$J/eta$ disintegration is facilitated by $Z(3)$ domain walls.
Localized color electric fields induce $J/eta$ excitation and disintegration.
The mechanism explains potential suppression of $J/eta$ in QGP.
Abstract
In this paper we discuss the possibility of disintegration due the domain walls that are expected to form in QGP medium. These domain walls give rise to localised color electric field which disintegrates , on interaction, by changing the color composition and simultaneously exciting it to higher states of system.
