TL;DR
This study uses NMR measurements to explore how charge stripe order in 1/8-doped lanthanum cuprates causes inhomogeneous slowing of spin fluctuations, affecting spin order and superconductivity.
Contribution
It provides new insights into the inhomogeneous spin dynamics induced by charge stripe order in 1/8-doped lanthanum cuprates.
Findings
Charge stripe order induces inhomogeneous slowing down of spin fluctuations.
Charge order competes with superconductivity.
Spin freezing is observed near charge stripe regions.
Abstract
We report La nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measurements on LaSrCuO () and LaBaCuO () single crystals, focusing on the spin freezing observed in 1/8-doped lanthanum cuprates. Charge stripe order seems to induce the inhomogeneous slowing down of spin fluctuations toward spin order and compete with superconductivity.
