Universal Polar Decoding with Channel Knowledge at the Encoder
Mine Alsan

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that polar codes can achieve the capacity of certain classes of symmetric channels when the encoder has channel knowledge, expanding their applicability in communication systems.
Contribution
It introduces a method for universal polar decoding that leverages channel knowledge at the encoder for specific channel classes.
Findings
Polar codes achieve capacity for convex symmetric channels.
The approach works with channel knowledge at the encoder.
It extends the applicability of polar codes to new channel classes.
Abstract
Polar coding over a class of binary discrete memoryless channels with channel knowledge at the encoder is studied. It is shown that polar codes achieve the capacity of convex and one-sided classes of symmetric channels.
