Models for exclusive vector meson production in heavy-ion collisions
T. Lappi, H. M\"antysaari

TL;DR
This paper models the production of $J/A0$ vector mesons in heavy-ion collisions, linking photoproduction processes to the dipole cross section used in deep inelastic scattering, and compares predictions with experimental data.
Contribution
It introduces a unified dipole-based framework for coherent and incoherent vector meson production in heavy-ion collisions, connecting it to inclusive DIS measurements.
Findings
Model agrees with ALICE data
Links vector meson production to dipole cross section
Provides insights into photonuclear interactions
Abstract
We discuss coherent and incoherent photoproduction of vector mesons in high energy heavy ion collisions. In a dipole picture for the photon both can be naturally related to the dipole cross section that is also probed in inclusive DIS. We compare results of a particular calculation to ALICE data.
