Skewness, kurtosis and Newton's inequality
R. Sharma, R. Bhandari

TL;DR
This paper explores a new inequality connecting skewness and kurtosis, offering simpler proofs and additional bounds for these statistical measures.
Contribution
It introduces a novel inequality related to Newton's inequality that links skewness and kurtosis, providing new insights and proofs.
Findings
New inequality relating skewness and kurtosis
Simplified proofs of bounds for skewness and kurtosis
Enhanced understanding of statistical measure relationships
Abstract
We show that an inequality related to Newton's inequality provides one more relation between skewness and kurtosis. This also gives simple and alternative proofs of the bounds for skewness and kurtosis.
