TL;DR
This paper introduces M00N states, a new class of entangled states in ion-laser interactions, which can be generated deterministically without conditional measurements, expanding the possibilities for quantum entanglement applications.
Contribution
The paper presents a novel class of entangled states called M00N states and a deterministic method for their generation in ion-laser systems.
Findings
M00N states are a new class of entangled states.
Deterministic generation method without conditional measurements.
Potential applications in quantum information processing.
Abstract
A new class of entangled states, similar to N00N states is introduced. We call these states M00N states as the excitations shared in both subsystems do not need to be equal. The generation proposed here does not need conditional measurements, and therefore is achieved in a deterministic manner.
