Yuan Sun, Xiang Liu, Takayuki Matsuki

TL;DR
This paper identifies the newly observed $D_J(3000)$ and $D_J^*(3000)$ as specific $2P$ states in the $D$ meson family based on mass spectrum analysis and decay behavior calculations.
Contribution
It provides a novel interpretation of $D_J(3000)$ and $D_J^*(3000)$ as $2P(1^+)$ and $2^3P_0$ states, supported by mass and decay analyses.
Findings
$D_J(3000)$ is explained as the $2P(1^+)$ state.
$D_J^*(3000)$ is explained as the $2^3P_0$ state.
Decay behaviors of various $D$ meson states are also calculated.
Abstract
In this work, we study the newly observed and through the analysis of mass spectrum and calculation of the corresponding two-body strong decay behaviors. Our results show that and are explained as the and states in the meson family, respectively, which is supported by the calculated masses of these two states and their decay behaviors. As a byproduct, the decay behaviors of , , , , , , , , , , , and states are also given, which will be helpful to further experimentally study mixings of these mesons, too.
