TL;DR
This paper models the combined magnetosphere of the close accreting pre-main sequence binary V4046 Sgr using 3D potential field extrapolation based on magnetic maps from optical and X-ray observations.
Contribution
It provides a novel 3D potential field model of the binary's magnetosphere derived from multi-wavelength magnetic maps.
Findings
Preliminary 3D magnetosphere structure of V4046 Sgr AB.
Integration of optical and X-ray magnetic data.
Insights into magnetic interactions in close PMS binaries.
Abstract
We present a preliminary 3D potential field extrapolation model of the joint magnetosphere of the close accreting PMS binary V4046 Sgr. The model is derived from magnetic maps obtained as part of a coordinated optical and X-ray observing program.
