Nikolaos Pappas, Marios Kountouris, Anthony Ephremides, Apostolos, Traganitis

TL;DR
This paper analyzes how a relay node affects the stability region in a two-user random access collision channel with erasures, providing bounds for the network's stability.
Contribution
It introduces bounds for the stability region in a relay-assisted two-user network with collision and erasure models, advancing understanding of network stability.
Findings
Derived inner and outer bounds for the stability region.
Quantified the impact of relay nodes on network stability.
Provided theoretical insights into collision and erasure effects.
Abstract
In this paper we study the impact of a relay node in a two-user network. We assume a random access collision channel model with erasures. In particular we obtain an inner and an outer bound for the stability region.
