An Index for Intersecting Branes in Matrix Models
Harold Steinacker, Jochen Zahn

TL;DR
This paper introduces an index for intersecting branes in matrix models to identify chiral fermions and analyze their stability under perturbations.
Contribution
It presents a novel index that detects chiral fermions at brane intersections in matrix models, aiding stability analysis.
Findings
Index effectively indicates chiral fermions at brane intersections.
The index helps assess stability of chiral fermions under perturbations.
Provides a new tool for studying brane configurations in matrix models.
Abstract
We introduce an index indicating the occurrence of chiral fermions at the intersection of branes in matrix models. This allows to discuss the stability of chiral fermions under perturbations of the branes.
