TL;DR
This paper explores the concept of orbifold embeddings, extending the idea beyond sub-orbifolds, and establishes their equivalence to strong equivariant immersions in translation groupoids.
Contribution
It introduces and develops properties of orbifold embeddings, demonstrating their equivalence to strong equivariant immersions in the context of translation groupoids.
Findings
Orbifold embeddings are more general than sub-orbifolds.
Orbifold embeddings are equivalent to strong equivariant immersions in translation groupoids.
The paper develops several properties of orbifold embeddings.
Abstract
For an orbifold, there is a notion of an orbifold embedding, which is more general than the one of sub-orbifolds. We develop several properties of orbifold embeddings. In the case of translation groupoids, we show that such a notion is equivalent to a strong equivariant immersion.
