Notes on Coherent Feedback Control for Linear Quantum Systems
Ian R. Petersen

TL;DR
This paper explores formulations and approaches to coherent feedback control in linear quantum systems, revealing that for annihilation operator-only systems, optimal controllers are trivial, simplifying control design.
Contribution
It introduces new results for coherent LQG and H-infinity quantum control problems, particularly showing trivial controllers are optimal for annihilation operator-only systems.
Findings
Optimal controllers are trivial for annihilation operator-only systems.
New formulations for coherent LQG and H-infinity control problems.
Simplification of control strategies in specific quantum systems.
Abstract
This paper considers some formulations and possible approaches to the coherent LQG and quantum control problems. Some new results for these problems are presented in the case of annihilation operator only quantum systems showing that in this case, the optimal controllers are trivial controllers.
