TL;DR
This paper investigates how T-duality transformations of D-branes in bosonic string theory are corrected at order alpha', ensuring consistency with string scattering amplitudes.
Contribution
It derives the corrected B-field and dilaton couplings on D-branes at order alpha' using T-duality consistency, aligning with string S-matrix results.
Findings
T-duality rules receive quantum corrections at order alpha'
Derived consistent B-field and dilaton couplings on D-branes
Confirmed couplings match disk-level S-matrix elements
Abstract
In bosonic string theory, it is known that the Buscher rules for the T-duality transformations receive quantum corrections at order . In this paper, we use the consistency of the gravity couplings on the D-brane effective action at order , with the above T-duality transformations to find the B-field and the dilaton couplings. We show that these couplings are fully consistent with the corresponding disk-level S-matrix elements in string theory.
