TL;DR
This study uses lattice QCD to investigate the $D_{s0}^*(2317)$ meson and its interaction with DK scattering, revealing its mass below threshold and providing insights into its structure and scattering properties.
Contribution
First lattice QCD simulation incorporating both DK and $ar sc$ interpolating fields to study the $D_{s0}^*(2317)$ meson and DK scattering.
Findings
$D_{s0}^*(2317)$ found below DK threshold by 37(17) MeV.
Negative DK scattering length $a_0=-1.33(20)$ fm indicates a bound state.
Mass difference close to experimental value 241.5(0.8) MeV.
Abstract
The scalar meson is found 37(17)MeV below DK threshold in a lattice simulation of the channel using, for the first time, both DK as well as interpolating fields. The simulation is done on gauge configurations with MeV, and the resulting MeV is close to the experimental value 241.5(0.8)MeV. The energy level related to the scalar meson is accompanied by additional discrete levels due to DK scattering states. The levels near threshold lead to the negative DK scattering length fm that indicates the presence of a state below threshold.
