TL;DR
This paper investigates the theoretical consistency of narrow tetraquark mesons in large N_c QCD, revealing a novel mechanism for N_c factor flow beyond traditional combinatoric explanations.
Contribution
It demonstrates that the N_c factors necessary for tetraquark mesons' existence in large N_c QCD emerge through a new, non-traditional process rather than standard combinatoric counting.
Findings
Narrow tetraquark mesons are compatible with large N_c QCD.
A novel mechanism for N_c factor flow is identified.
Traditional combinatoric counting does not explain the N_c behavior.
Abstract
Following Weinberg's argument that narrow tetraquark mesons are not precluded in large N_c QCD, we explore the flow of N_c factors needed for the consistency of this picture, and show that they must arise in a novel way, not simply through the usual combinatoric counting.
