Sudip K. Garain, Himadri Ghosh. Sandip K. Chakrabarti

TL;DR
This study investigates how Compton cooling influences outflow rates in black hole accretion disks by coupling Monte Carlo simulations with TVD methods, revealing a correlation between spectral states and outflow behavior.
Contribution
It introduces a coupled Monte Carlo-TVD simulation approach to analyze cooling effects on outflows in two-component accretion flows around black holes.
Findings
Cooling affects outflow rates significantly.
Spectral states correlate with outflow behavior.
Abstract
The effect of cooling on the outflow rate from an accretion disk around a black hole is investigated using a coupled Monte Carlo Total Variation Diminishing code. A correlation between the spectral states and the outflow rates is found as a consequence.
