TL;DR
This paper compares the production rates of scalar and tensor mesons in electron-positron collisions at VEPP-2000 and DAΦNE, using theoretical models to predict cross sections and angular distributions for these processes.
Contribution
It provides the first theoretical estimates of tensor meson production in the VEPP-2000 energy region using VDM and kaon loop models.
Findings
Tensor meson production cross section ~10 pb at VEPP-2000 energies.
Scalar meson production cross section ~0.1 pb at VEPP-2000 energies.
Photon angular distributions and spin density matrices were calculated.
Abstract
The intensity of scalar , and tensor , mesons production at VEPP-2000 (BINP, Novosibirsk) and the upgraded DANE (Frascati, Italy) in the processes , , is calculated. The calculation was made with the help of VDM and the kaon loop model (for scalar mesons case). Note that the processes have not been studied in the energy region of VEPP-2000. It turned out that in the VEPP-2000 energy region GeV pb, and pb. Photon angle distribution and the spin density matrices of and were calculated also.
