TL;DR
This paper discusses how correlations between incoming partons influence event rates and kinematic distributions in double parton scattering during proton-proton collisions.
Contribution
It analyzes various types of parton correlations and their impact on multiple hard scattering processes, providing insights into their effects on observable outcomes.
Findings
Correlations significantly affect event rates.
Kinematic distributions are sensitive to parton correlations.
Different correlation types have distinct impacts on scattering outcomes.
Abstract
Correlations between the incoming partons in multiple hard scattering can affect both the event rate and kinematic distributions in the final state. In this talk, I discuss different types of correlations relevant for double parton scattering in proton-proton collisions.
