TL;DR
This paper introduces a quantum cosmology framework using pressureless dust as a natural time gauge, simplifying analysis and extending applicability to Wheeler-deWitt and loop quantum cosmology models.
Contribution
It presents a novel formulation of quantum cosmology with dust as a time parameter, enabling a more straightforward analysis of different quantum gravity models.
Findings
Provides a physical Hamiltonian independent of time
Simplifies the analysis of Wheeler-deWitt and loop quantum cosmology models
Broadens the applicability of loop quantum cosmology
Abstract
We give a formulation of quantum cosmology with a pressureless dust and arbitrary additional matter fields. The dust provides a natural time gauge corresponding to a cosmic time, yielding a physical time independent Hamiltonian. The approach simplifies the analysis of both Wheeler-deWitt and loop quantum cosmology models, broadening the applicability of the latter.
