TL;DR
This paper presents a new experimental analysis of diffractive electron-proton scattering at HERA, comparing results with other measurements and theoretical models to enhance understanding of diffraction phenomena.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed analysis of the diffractive process $ep ightarrow eXY$ with low mass proton excitations at HERA, including comparisons to existing data and theories.
Findings
Consistent measurements of diffractive cross sections
Comparison with theoretical predictions shows good agreement
Enhanced understanding of low-mass proton excitations
Abstract
A new experimental analysis of the diffractive process , where denotes a proton or its low mass excitation with GeV, has been performed with the H1 experiment at HERA \cite{Aaron:2012ad}. The main results of this study are summarised in this document, together with the comparisons to other measurements and theoretical predictions.
