TL;DR
This paper reports the first evidence of inclusive CP asymmetry in charmless three-body B decays, measured using LHCb data, with significant asymmetries observed in specific phase space regions.
Contribution
It provides the first measurement of inclusive CP asymmetries in $B^{ pm} o K^{ pm} o ext{charmless three-body decays} using LHCb data from 2011.
Findings
Measured CP asymmetries: +0.032 for $K^{ pm} o ext{pi+pi-}$ mode.
Measured CP asymmetry: -0.043 for $K^{ pm} o K+K-$ mode.
Significance of asymmetry in $K^{ pm} o K+K-$ exceeds three standard deviations.
Abstract
The charmless decays and are reconstructed using data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb, collected by LHCb in 2011. The inclusive charge asymmetries of these modes are measured as and , where the third uncertainty is due to the asymmetry of the reference mode. The significance of exceeds three standard deviations and is the first evidence of an inclusive asymmetry in charmless three-body decays. In addition to the inclusive asymmetries, larger asymmetries are observed in localised regions of phase space.
