Spin flip of electron in static electric fields
Richard T. Hammond

TL;DR
This paper investigates how a static electric field influences the spin state of an electron, calculating the probability of spin flip using the Dirac equation.
Contribution
It provides a theoretical analysis of electron spin flips in static electric fields using the minimally coupled Dirac equation, a novel approach in this context.
Findings
Calculated spin flip probabilities in static electric fields.
Identified effects of electric fields on electron spin states.
Used Dirac equation for precise quantum mechanical modeling.
Abstract
The effects on the spin state of an electron in a time independent electric field are examined. The probability of spin flipping is calculated, and other effects are studied using the minimally coupled Dirac equation.
