Moduli Spaces of Planar Pentagonal Linkages: Combinatorial Description
Irina Gorodetskaya

TL;DR
This paper explores the structure of moduli spaces for planar pentagonal linkages, providing a combinatorial description and visualizations of their cell structures after a specific surgery on the permutohedron.
Contribution
It introduces a combinatorial framework for understanding moduli spaces of pentagonal linkages and visualizes their cell structures post-surgery.
Findings
Cell structure of moduli spaces described combinatorially
3D visualizations of non-degenerate pentagonal linkages
Surgery on permutohedron elucidates linkage configurations
Abstract
Moduli spaces of planar polygonal linkages admit a cell structure which can be realized as a surgery on the permutohedron. We present a 3D visualization of the result of the surgery for all types of non-degenerate pentagonal linkages.
