TL;DR
This study measures exclusive decay modes of the $5S$ and $6S$ bottomonium states into vector-pseudoscalar final states, observing new signals and testing QCD predictions with large data samples from the Belle detector.
Contribution
First observation of certain exclusive decay modes of $5S$ and $6S$ into vector-pseudoscalar states, providing new measurements and tests of perturbative QCD predictions.
Findings
Signals observed in new decay modes for $5S$ and $6S$
Branching fractions measured for multiple decay channels
Upper limits set for less significant modes
Abstract
Using samples of 102 million and 158 million events collected with the Belle detector, we study exclusive hadronic decays of these two bottomonium resonances to and charge-conjugate (c.c.) states, , and , and to the two-body Vector-Pseudoscalar (, , , and ) final states. For the first time, signals are observed in the modes , , and , and evidence is found for the modes , , and Branching fractions are measured for all the processes, while 90% confidence level upper limits on the…
