J. A. Nieto, C. Pereyra

TL;DR
This paper develops a systematic method to derive the Majorana representation of the Dirac equation in both (1+3) and (2+2) dimensions, aiming to enhance understanding of Majorana fermions.
Contribution
It introduces a new formalism for deriving the Majorana representation in different spacetime dimensions, facilitating better insights into Majorana fermions.
Findings
Systematic derivation method for Majorana representation in (1+3) dimensions.
Comparison of approaches in (2+2) dimensions.
Potential applications to understanding Majorana fermions.
Abstract
We develop a systematic method to derive the Majorana representation of the Dirac equation in (1+3)-dimensions. We compare with similar approach in (2+2)-dimensions . We argue that our formalism can be useful to have a better understanding of possible Majorana fermions.
