TL;DR
This study uses lattice QCD simulations with improved staggered fermions to compute the $ppa$ meson mass, achieving results consistent with experimental data through chiral extrapolation.
Contribution
It applies rooted staggered chiral perturbation theory to analyze lattice correlators and determine the physical $ppa$ mass, providing a precise lattice-based estimate.
Findings
Computed $ppa$ mass as 835±93 MeV
Results agree with BES experimental measurements
Demonstrated effectiveness of rS$hi$PT in lattice analysis
Abstract
Using the lattice simulations in the Asqtad-improved staggered fermion formulation we compute the point-to-point correlators, which are analyzed by the rooted staggered chiral perturbation theory (rSPT). After chiral extrapolation, we secure the physical mass with MeV, which is in agreement with the BES experimental results. The computations are performed using a MILC 2+1 flavor fine gauge configuration at a lattice spacing of fm.
