TL;DR
This paper develops analytical and numerical solutions for the magnetic field configurations in neutron star crusts, specifically focusing on Hall equilibria with toroidal and poloidal components, advancing understanding of neutron star magnetic structures.
Contribution
It introduces new analytical solutions and a numerical method for modeling Hall equilibria with complex magnetic field configurations in neutron star crusts.
Findings
Analytical solutions for simple magnetic configurations.
Numerical solutions for complex field geometries.
Enhanced modeling of neutron star magnetic field structures.
Abstract
We present Hall equilibrium solutions for neutron stars crusts containing toroidal and poloidal magnetic field. Some simple cases are solved analytically while more complicated configurations are found numerically through a Gauss-Seidel elliptic partial differential equation solver.
