Stefano Frixione, Paolo Torrielli, Marco Zaro

TL;DR
This paper investigates Higgs production via vector-boson fusion at next-to-leading order in QCD, matched with parton showers, comparing different matching schemes to understand systematic effects.
Contribution
It provides a detailed comparison of aMC@NLO and POWHEG matching methods for Higgs VBF production at NLO with parton showers.
Findings
Matching systematics significantly affect predictions.
aMC@NLO and POWHEG show consistent results within uncertainties.
The study enhances understanding of theoretical uncertainties in Higgs production simulations.
Abstract
We present a study of Higgs hadroproduction through vector-boson fusion at the NLO in QCD matched with parton showers. We discuss the matching systematics affecting this process through a comparison of the aMC@NLO predictions with the POWHEG and the pure-NLO ones.
