Explicit secular equation for Scholte waves over a monoclinic crystal
Michel Destrade

TL;DR
This paper derives an explicit secular equation for Scholte waves at the interface between a fluid and a monoclinic crystal with a specific crystallographic orientation, aiding understanding of wave behavior in anisotropic media.
Contribution
It provides the first explicit secular equation for Scholte waves over a monoclinic crystal with a particular orientation, advancing wave analysis in anisotropic materials.
Findings
Explicit secular equation derived for specific crystal orientation.
Facilitates analysis of Scholte waves in anisotropic media.
Enhances understanding of wave behavior at fluid-solid interfaces.
Abstract
The aim of this Letter is to derive explicitly the secular equation for Scholte waves at the interface between a fluid and an anisotropic crystal cut along a plane containing the normal to a single symmetry plane, that is containing only one crystallographic axis.
