Dark states in multi-mode multi-atom Jaynes-Cummings systems
Clive Emary

TL;DR
This paper investigates the formation of dark states in a complex quantum system with multiple atoms and modes, identifying conditions for observing dark-state anti-resonance in cavity emission.
Contribution
It introduces the theoretical framework for understanding dark states in multi-mode, multi-atom Jaynes-Cummings systems and derives specific conditions for their experimental observation.
Findings
Conditions for dark-state anti-resonance are derived.
Dark states depend on system parameters and coupling configurations.
Theoretical criteria for observing dark states in multi-mode cavities are established.
Abstract
We consider a system consisting of N two-level atoms inside an M-mode degenerate, driven cavity. We discuss the formation of dark states in this system and derive the conditions required for the observation of the dark-state anti-resonance in the cavity emission.
