Particularities of Analog FCS Optimization
Platonov Anatolij

TL;DR
This paper analyzes the performance limits of analog feedback communication systems with analog transmitters, highlighting differences from digital systems and discussing underlying causes.
Contribution
It provides a comparative analysis of AFCS performance measures and boundaries, emphasizing their differences from digital communication systems.
Findings
AFCS performance measures are similar but differ from digital systems
Limit boundaries of AFCS are analyzed and compared to digital counterparts
Differences are explained by underlying system characteristics
Abstract
There is analyzed a performance of optimal feedback communication systems with the analog transmitters in the forward channel (AFCS). It is shown that measures and limit boundaries of AFCS performance are similar but differ from those used in digital communications and information theory. The causes of the differences are discussed.
