TL;DR
This study measures the differential cross sections of helium-4 photodisintegration into proton and neutron channels up to 150 MeV photon energy, providing detailed angular distributions and insights into nuclear reaction mechanisms.
Contribution
It presents new experimental data on differential cross sections for $^4$He($b0,b7$) reactions at energies up to 150 MeV, extending previous measurements and improving angular resolution.
Findings
Differential cross sections measured up to 45 MeV with 1 MeV steps.
Angular distributions obtained with 10° step in the center-of-mass system.
Data contribute to understanding of nuclear response to high-energy photons.
Abstract
Differential cross sections two-body () and () reactions of the He nucleus disintegration were measured using the bremsstrahlung beam of photons at the KIPT linac LEA-300 at the maximum energy = 150 MeV. The reaction products were detected in a diffusion chamber placed in the magnetic field. The differential cross sections were measured with a 1 MeV step up to a photon energy of 45 MeV, and with a greater step at higher energies. The step in the measurements of the polar angle of nucleon emission was in the c.m.s.
