TL;DR
This paper reports the discovery of six new magnetic cataclysmic variable stars identified through the Palomar Transient Factory's photometric variability, supported by spectroscopic follow-up and preliminary period analysis.
Contribution
It introduces six newly identified magnetic cataclysmic variables discovered via a large-scale transient survey, expanding the known population.
Findings
Six new candidate systems identified
Preliminary photometric periods determined
Spectroscopic follow-up confirms variability
Abstract
The Palomar Transient Factory proves to be a prolific source of Magnetic Cataclysmic Variables, selected by their distinctive photometric variability, and followed up spectroscopically. Here, we present six new candidate systems, together with preliminary photometric periods and spectra.
