Ramsey spectroscopy with squeezed light
Kenan Qu, G. S. Agarwal

TL;DR
This paper introduces a novel Ramsey spectroscopy scheme utilizing squeezed light and joint detection to surpass traditional resolution limits, achieving a resolution of π/T instead of 2π/T.
Contribution
The authors demonstrate a new Ramsey spectroscopy method using entangled squeezed states and joint detection to enhance frequency resolution beyond classical limits.
Findings
Achieves higher frequency resolution of π/T
Uses two-mode squeezed light with strong entanglement
Surpasses traditional Ramsey spectroscopy resolution
Abstract
Traditional Ramsey spectroscopy has the frequency resolution , where is the time separation between two light fields. Using squeezed states and two-atom excitation joint detection, we present a new scheme achieving a higher resolution . We use two mode squeezed light which exhibits strong entanglement.
