Dendroidal weak 2-categories
Andor Lukacs

TL;DR
This paper explores the dendroidal approach to weak higher categories and demonstrates that dendroidal weak 2-categories are equivalent to bicategories, bridging two frameworks in higher category theory.
Contribution
It establishes an equivalence between dendroidal weak 2-categories and bicategories, clarifying their relationship in higher category theory.
Findings
Dendroidal weak 2-categories are equivalent to bicategories.
The dendroidal framework effectively models weak 2-categories.
Provides a foundational link between dendroidal and classical higher categories.
Abstract
We discuss the dendroidal notion of weak higher categories introduced by Moerdijk and Weiss and we prove that dendroidal weak 2-categories are equivalent to bicategories.
