S-duality of tree-level S-matrix elements in D$_3$-brane effective action
H. Babaei-Aghbolagh, Mohammad R. Garousi

TL;DR
This paper investigates the S-duality symmetry of tree-level S-matrix elements on D3-branes, demonstrating that certain scattering amplitudes satisfy S-duality constraints in the low energy abelian limit.
Contribution
It provides detailed analysis confirming that specific tree-level S-matrix elements on D3-branes obey S-duality, supporting the conjecture for abelian D3-brane effective actions.
Findings
Three gauge boson and one two-form S-matrix element satisfy S-duality.
Six gauge boson S-matrix element also respects S-duality.
Results support the S-duality invariance of the abelian D3-brane effective action.
Abstract
Recently it has been speculated that the S-matrix elements on the world volume of D-branes should satisfy the ward identity corresponding to the S-duality transformations. For a single brane and in the low energy limit, this indicates that in the abelian Dirac-Born-Indeld-Chern-Simons theory the combination of contact terms and tree-level massless poles in an -point function should satisfy the S-duality. In this paper we examine in details the S-matrix element of three gauge bosons and one two-form and the S-matrix element of six gauge bosons in favor of the above proposal.
