M.A. Andreichikov, B.O. Kerbikov, Yu.A. Simonov

TL;DR
This paper introduces a new correction to hydrogen's hyperfine energy levels in magnetic fields, interpreted as magnetic focusing of the wave function, which could be experimentally observed.
Contribution
It presents a novel correction to hyperfine splitting in hydrogen caused by magnetic focusing of the wave function at the origin.
Findings
New correction to hyperfine energy levels identified
Effect potentially observable with current experimental techniques
Interpretation as magnetic focusing of the wave function
Abstract
We find a new correction to the hydrogen atom ground state hyperfine energy levels splitting in magnetic field. It can be interpreted as magnetic focusing of the wave function at the origin. The effect might be within the reach of experiment.
