Handling uncertainty in a system for text-symbol context analysis
Bjornar Tessem, Lars Johan Ersland

TL;DR
This paper introduces a method that manages uncertainty in text-symbol context analysis for technical drawings, utilizing Dempster-Shafer and possibility theories to improve pattern recognition.
Contribution
It presents a novel approach combining Dempster-Shafer and possibility theories to handle uncertainty in symbol and text context analysis.
Findings
Effective handling of uncertainty in technical drawing analysis
Improved accuracy in pattern recognition tasks
Integration of Dempster-Shafer and possibility theories
Abstract
In pattern analysis, information regarding an object can often be drawn from its surroundings. This paper presents a method for handling uncertainty when using context of symbols and texts for analyzing technical drawings. The method is based on Dempster-Shafer theory and possibility theory.
