E. Ruiz Arriola, L.L. Salcedo, E. Megias

TL;DR
This paper explores how excited hadronic states with heavy quarks can be used to model the Polyakov loop in QCD at low temperatures, analyzing the conditions for a Hagedorn temperature in this context.
Contribution
It introduces a novel approach to constructing the Polyakov loop using excited hadrons and examines the conditions for a Hagedorn temperature in QCD thermodynamics.
Findings
Polyakov loop can be modeled with excited hadrons below the crossover temperature.
Conditions for defining a Hagedorn temperature in this framework are identified.
Provides insights into the hadron-quark-gluon transition in QCD.
Abstract
We show how excited states in QCD can be profitably used to build up the Polyakov loop in the fundamental representation at temperatures below the hadron-quark-gluon crossover. The conditions under which a Hagedorn temperature for the Polyakov loop can be defined are analysed.
