Modified Ricci flow and asymptotically non-flat spaces
Shubhayu Chatterjee, Narayan Banerjee

TL;DR
This paper explores the application of a modified Ricci flow to asymptotically non-flat spaces, specifically Marder's cylindrically symmetric space, demonstrating the existence of solutions in certain cases.
Contribution
It extends Ricci flow methods to non-flat geometries, providing new insights into their evolution and solution existence.
Findings
Solution exists for the modified Ricci flow in a specific case
Application to Marder's cylindrically symmetric space
Potential for broader application to non-flat geometries
Abstract
The present work extends the application of a modified Ricci flow equation to an asymptotically non flat space, namely Marder's cylindrially symmetric space. It is found that the flow equation has a solution at least in a particular case.
