TL;DR
This paper investigates the electron-positron annihilation process near the $ ext{Psi}(3770)$ resonance, focusing on the destructive interference between electromagnetic and resonance states, revealing a large phase difference.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of the interference effects and phase relations in proton-antiproton pair production at the $ ext{Psi}(3770)$ energy range.
Findings
Interference between electromagnetic and resonance states is destructive.
The relative phase between contributions is approximately 250 degrees.
The study enhances understanding of proton-antiproton production mechanisms.
Abstract
The process of electron--positron annihilation into proton--antiproton pair is considered within the vicinity of resonance. The interference between the pure electromagnetic intermediate state and the state is evaluated. It is shown that this interference is destructive and the relative phase between these two contributions is large ().
