Mark Freidlin, Wenqing Hu

TL;DR
This paper investigates wave front propagation in reaction-diffusion equations within narrow random channels, approximating solutions via random graphs and applying large deviation analysis to understand asymptotic behavior.
Contribution
It introduces a novel approximation of reaction-diffusion solutions in narrow channels using random graphs and analyzes wave front propagation through large deviation techniques.
Findings
Wave front propagation characterized in narrow random channels.
Approximation of solutions by random graph models.
Asymptotic behavior analyzed using large deviation principles.
Abstract
We consider a reaction-diffusion equation in narrow random channels. We approximate the generalized solution to this equation by the corresponding one on a random graph. By making use of large deviation analysis we study the asymptotic wave front propagation.
