H. Haider, I. Ruiz Simo, M. Sajjad Athar

TL;DR
This paper investigates how the nuclear medium affects weak structure functions in neutrino deep inelastic scattering, incorporating nuclear effects, meson cloud contributions, and various nuclear targets.
Contribution
It introduces a comprehensive model combining relativistic spectral functions and meson cloud effects to study nuclear modifications of weak structure functions.
Findings
Nuclear medium modifies weak structure functions significantly.
Meson cloud contributions impact the structure functions at certain kinematic regions.
Results vary across different nuclear targets like carbon, oxygen, and water.
Abstract
Effect of nuclear medium on the weak structure functions and have been studied using charged current (anti)neutrino deep inelastic scattering on various nuclear targets. Relativistic nuclear spectral function which incorporate Fermi motion, binding and nucleon correlations are used for the calculations. We also consider the pion and rho meson cloud contributions calculated from a microscopic model for meson-nucleus self-energies. Using these structure functions, and (i=2,3, A=, , and ) are obtained.
