Unipotent almost characters of simple p-adic groups, II
G. Lusztig

TL;DR
This paper explores conjectures regarding unipotent almost characters of simple p-adic groups, using a generalized matrix that extends the nonabelian Fourier transform, aiming to deepen understanding of these characters.
Contribution
It introduces new conjectures linking unipotent almost characters to a generalized Fourier transform matrix for simple p-adic groups.
Findings
Proposes conjectures on unipotent almost characters.
Generalizes the nonabelian Fourier transform matrix.
Provides a framework for future proofs.
Abstract
This paper contains some conjectures about the unipotent almost characters of a simple p-adic group in terms of a matrix which generalizes the nonabelian Fourier transform matrix introduced by the author in 1979.
