TL;DR
This paper investigates the jerk parameter in cosmology by proposing various parameterizations, constraining them with observational data, and demonstrating that the standard Lambda-CDM model fits well with the reconstructed jerk behavior.
Contribution
The study introduces new parameterizations of the jerk parameter and compares the constraining power of OHD and SNe data, highlighting the significance of recent high-redshift measurements.
Findings
Jerk parameter perturbations favor near-zero values.
Lambda-CDM model is consistent with jerk reconstructions.
High-redshift OHD data improves constraints significantly.
Abstract
Compared with the plentiful researches of the Hubble parameter and deceleration factor, the third time derivative of the scale factor in the FRW cosmology, namely, the jerk parameter still lacks attention. In order to study the properties of , we propose several kinds of parameterizations of as a function of the redshift . By setting the standard CDM model as the fiducial model, we constrain the jerk models with the observational Hubble parameter data (OHD) and Type Ia Supernovae (SNe) observations. We find that the perturbation of favors a value of nearly zero and the CDM is well accommodated by the jerk reconstruction. We also compare the powers of OHD and SNe in constraining the jerk models in detail, and find that the newly released OHD measurement at can improve the constraint significantly, even tighter than the SNe one.…
